AGP Never Supports CAB: Satyabrat Kalita

Reacting on Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA Satyabrat Kalita said that their position is still the same on CAB.

Speakingto PratidinTime, Kalita said, "BJP will definitely discuss with AGP if theywould bring CAB and we are hopeful that they will discuss the issue withinone-two days."

Hefurther said, "Our position on CAB will never change and we will not take anystep which will hurt the sentiments of the people of the state. We will not doanything against the sentiment of the people."

Kalitaalso reiterated that the three ministers are also not silent on the issue andthey will never be. Whatever could be done to oppose CAB, we will do, saidKalita.

Whenasked about All Assam Students' Union (AASU)'s statement that 'AGP is the son',Kalita said that they accepted AASU's demand. He said that the Asom ChatraParishad is like AASU's grandson and therefore, AASU should shower their loveto Asom Chatra Parishad and son AGP.
