Akhil Gogoi accuses RSS, BJP of circulating fake child lifter’s news to divert attention from Citizenship Bill

Pratidin Bureau

Peasant Right's activist and Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) has made a scintillating accusation at a time when Assam is under massive grief and burning over the mob lynching incident of Dokmoka which led to the death of two youths from Guwahati.

Akhil Gogoi has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of circulating fake news about child traffickers through social media in the State to divert attention of people from the much debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

It is to be noted that the same fake news of child trafficking was responsible for the deaths of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das, who were brutally thrashed by a mob in Karbi Anglong for mistaking them as child abductors.

Akhil Gogoi said that he has submitted proof of RSS and BJP's involvement in the fake circulation to Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia.

Adding to this, Akhil Gogoi said that BJP and RSS are deliberately planned this controversy to create a 'Law and Order' situation in the State ahead of the date of final NRC draft publication.

In addition, Akhil Gogoi also filed and FIR at Chandmari Police station seeking fair probe in the mob lynching incident, finding out the culprits and protection to the tribal communities residing in Guwahati.
