Locals held a person near Kamakhya railway station in Maligaon for allegedly trafficking children from poor families on Sunday.

The alleged trafficker has been identified as one Hazrat Ali.

As per reports, the accused has a huge gang and the gang is involved in trafficking children from across the state of Assam to neighbouring states of Dimapur and Siliguri.

Ali was also beaten by up the agitated group of people. Later, Jalukbari Police reached the spot after which the public handed over the alleged trafficker to the Police.
