Amit Shah takes stock of Assam flood situation

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday took stock of the flood situation in Assam in a telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

The ChiefMinister has given a detailed report of the current scenario of the devastatingfloods in the state's Brahmaputra and Barak valley.

Speakingon the measures taken by the state government, Sonowal informed the UnionMinister that the administration has been ordered to be on alert. He also addedthat the flood affected people have been granted compensation and gave anelaborate update about the rescue operations of those who have been affected bythe floods.

Amit Shahhad assured of all necessary assistance to the state government in order tobattle the devastating flood situation.
