Animation film on Madhavdev to hit silver screen

For the first time, an animation film on the life and works of the 15th century's saint-scholar Mahapurush Madhavdev to hit the silver screen very soon.

Ramani Chitram memorial trust has produced the film, the film has directed by Biswajit Pathak and Gaurabjyoti Pathak. Concept Dalim Pathak, Gautam Das in Animation direction, Music directors of the film are Gunindra Nath Ozah, Jiten Basumatary and Hemendra Nath Das.

The film will be released with 3D and 4K technology.

"This type of initiative is quite praiseworthy. I appreciate the enthusiastic spirit of this team. It will help to introduce Mahapurush Madhavdev among new generation" – said veteran actor Nipan Goswami.

Madhavdev was an important preceptor of the Ekasarana Dharma known for his loyalty to his guru, Srimanta Sankardev as well as his artistic brilliance. Initially a sakta worshipper, he was converted to Ekasarana Dharma by Sankardev and became his most prominent disciple. He became the religious as well as artistic successor of Sankardeva after the latter's death in 1568. He is known particularly for his book of hymns, the Naam Ghokha, as well as a large selection of songs called Borgeets.
