APCC To Launch ‘Missed Call’ Membership Drive

Taking a new initiative to connect with the people of Assam, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) to launch a 'Missed Call' volunteer campaign.

APCC will soon introduce a hi-tech system whereby a person can become a party member by merely dialing a mobile number.

APCC President Ripun Borah has already submitted the route-map for the online membership drive to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi.

Earlier, BJP had applied the procedure to connect with people, the ambitious online membership drive was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who became its first member after dialing a mobile telephone number.
