APSC Postpones CC (Main) 2018 Examination

Pratidin Bureau

As a result of the devastating flood that has gripped Assam, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has decided to postpone the mains of the Combined Competitive Examinations 2018, an APSC press communique stated on Wednesday.

The press communique stated that the exams, which were supposed to be conducted from July 22 to 31, have been postponed, however, the exams which were supposed to take place from August 2 to 9 will remain the same.

"The Combined Competitive Examination is conducted for all eligible candidates and it is the aim of the Commission to see that all candidates sit in the examination. But due to the prevailing situation created by the unprecedented flood, there is a likelihood that a section of the candidates would be deprived of the opportunity of sitting in the examination which will render the competition incomplete and not fair," the APSC press communique stated.
