Arunachal Literary Society Condemns MLA’s Killing

Membersof the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) on Wednesday condemned thebarbaric killing of Tirong Aboh, the National People's Party (NPP) MLA from KhonsaWest constituency of Arunachal Pradesh, on Tuesday in an attack allegedly carriedout by the members of NSCN (IM).

The APLSpresident YD Thonchi in a statement issued to the media said, "This has sent aterrifying message about the revival of insurgency after peace prevailed for along time in those three districts."

The APLSfurther conveyed its condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for theeternal peace of the departed souls.

Theliterary society also made an appeal for facilitating peace as the state ispoised for faster development.

It may be mentioned here that in one of the most ghastly attacks carried out in the hill state on Tuesday, 11 persons were killed including MLA Tirong Aboh and his son.
