Police arrested one moreaccused of the Asolpara incident on Wednesday. The arrested person has beenidentified as Samazuddin Ali, who belongs to the area of Samphupara in Chaygaonof Kamrup.

He is currently underinterrogation by Chaygaon police in connection to the incident.

On June 7, an incident took place at Asolpara in Chaygaon where a mob of 500 men allegedly tried to force woman dancers of a troupe to strip while they were performing.

Earlier, three culprits were arrested in connection to the incident. The Asolpara incident has drawn sharp reactions among the various sections of society.
