Asomiya Khabar Owner Raantu Das Passes Away

The owner of a local Assamese daily 'Asomiya Khabar' Raantu Das has breathed his last on Friday morning at a private hospital in Guwahati. Das died of cardiac arrest but the hospital authorities confirmed that he was tested positive for COVID-19 after his death.

He was under treatment in the hospital since 1 month and passed away today. He left behind his wife, a daughter and son.

As he was tested positive for COVID-19, his family members have not been allowed to attend him in the hospital.
