Assam Bypolls: BJP Leading in 3 Seats, UPPL in 2 Seats

Counting for bypolls to five Assam Assembly seats are underway and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in three seats while UPPL is leading in two seats.

While BJP candidate Sushanta Borgohain is leading in Thowra seat with 13,568 votes against Dhajya Konwar of Raijor Dal.

On the other hand, UPPL candidate Jiron Basumatary is leading with 14,325 votes in Gossaigaon.

Meanwhile, Mariani candidate Rupjyoti Kurmi is leading qith 16,959 votes against his nearest rival Luhit Konwar.

In Tamulpur, Jolen Daimary of UPPL is leading.

In Bhabanipur, BJP candidate Phanidhar Talukdar is leading by 13054 votes against Sailendra Nath Das of Congress.
