Assam COVID-19: Death Toll Rises to 36

Assam reported another death of COVID-19 on Saturday taking the toll to 36. This was informed by State Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle.

The deceased has been identified as Nripen Debnath (55) who had a history of kidney ailment.

The minister in his tweet said, "Sad to share that Sri Nripen Debnath (55) a Covid 19 patient with history of kidney ailment, who came intubated & ventilated, and was admitted in GMCH ICU, passed away early this morning."

The COVID-19 situation worsens in the state as the cases are increasing rapidly and on Friday eight death were reported in the state.
