Assam Crosses 50,000 Marks in COVID-19 Tally

Assam's COVID-19 tally crossed 50,000 marks after 2284 cases have been detected on Wednesday night. These cases have been reported out of the 59162 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, informed state Health & Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

However, the positivity rate has come down to 3.86 percent.

Out of the 2284 cases, Kamrup (M) reported 362 cases while Dibrugarh has 177 cases, Nagaon 157 and Kamrup district reported 123 cases.

With the new cases, the active cases in the state now stand at 159000 while 34421 patients have recovered from the disease.

Meanwhile, the total number of cases in the state is 50445.
