Assam Education Minister warns teachers of strict action

Newly inducted Education Minister of Assam Siddhartha Bhattacharya has said that the government shall take strict disciplinary steps against teachers across the state if found guilty of violating the service rules.

He also warned teachers, who leave the classroom and participate in protests, of strict action.

Bhattacharya shared plans to merge the pre-primary section with primary education. The minister also informed that the appointment of teachers shall continue through 'TET' examinations.

In a bid to further develop the education sector of the state, the newly inducted minister said that special attention shall be given to infrastructure development; also, the department will continue to organise Gunotsav across the state.
