Assam girls rescued in Bihar

13 minor girls including three children from Assam were rescued on Sunday from East Champaran in Bihar.

Two persons, identified as Dipak Kumar and Anil Kumar, were arrested in this connection, Police said.

Acting on a tip-off, Morigaon district police and CID launched a joint operation and managed to rescue the girls from Bihar.

As per reports, a local woman identified as Bokuli Bordoloi had promised these girls jobs at a dance centre in Bihar's Muzzafarpur town.

They will be soon handed over to their families after some legal formalities – police said.
