Pratidin Bureau

For the first time, Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has visited Indo- Bangla border in Mankachar on Thursday. Governor Mukhi inspected the fence-less India- Bangladesh border by a speedboat of border security force (BSF).

During his inspection, Mukhi entered Sisumara BSF camp and interacted with jawans. It has come to light that Bangladesh is giving more importance to construct roads and other infrastructure in border areas. Even, illegal immigrants have started cultivation in NO MAN's LAND.

After border inspection, Governor Jagdish Mukhi took stock of two local schools and hospital. Mukhi has accepted negligence towards the development works in the newly-formed South Salmara and assured to give necessary priorities to the district.
