Assam: Labour Dept. To Organize Registration Fair

The labourdepartment of Assam will organize Registration Fair for the first time for the convenienceof the business man.

The registration fair will be organized in seven places- Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Tezpur, Silchar and Nagaon.

The labourdepartment has taken the initiative to conduct the registration fair so thatthe traders who have not registered in the labour department can make theirregistration in the fair.

LabourCommissioner, Narayan Konwar while speaking to the media persons said that theyhave taken the initiative to organize the registration fair as the businessmanoften made allegations that they don't have time to come to Guwahati for theregistration process. For the convenience of the businessman the registrationfair has been organized so that the traders who have not registered with thelabour department will be able to make the registration in the fair itself.

The fairwill start from 10 AM to 5 PM.

It may be mentioned that many business establishments don't follow labour law and therefore the labour department has taken such initiative.
