Assam Mosque gives shelter to Hindu pilgrims

Sending a message of communal harmony, a mosque at Puranigudam in Nagaon district has provided shelter to Hindu pilgrims coming from Rajasthan.

As many as 100 Hindu pilgrims, including women, children and the elderly were given space to sleep inside the mosque.

As per reports, the Hindu pilgrims came from various parts of Rajasthan to Parshuram Kund, which is a Hindu pilgrimage centre situated on the Brahmaputra plateau in the lower reaches of the Lohit River and 21 km north of Tezu in Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Significantly, this mosque has become a symbol of communal harmony amid the ongoing politics over religion.
