Assam records 157 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, pushing the active caseload to 3214. The active cases rate is 1.51 per cent.

The new cases were detected out of 21772 tests conducted today, with positivity rate of 0.72% and Kamrup Metro reported 53.

Meanwhile, the state's recovery has surged to 98.02 per cent with 207646.

The death tally has touched to 976.

The total caseload of the state is 211839.
