Assam Registers 82 New Cases of COVID-19, Tally at 4777

Assam registered another 82 new cases of COVID-19, taking the state's tally to 4777, informed state Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle.

Sarma in his tweet wrote, "Alert ~ 82 #COVID19+22 Baksa, 14 K'Anglong, 11 Chirang, 9 D'garh, 7 Dhubri, 5 G'ghat, 2 S'sagar, 2 Nagaon, 2 Barpeta, 2 Kamrup(M), 1 B'nath, 1 N'bari, 1 C'deo, 1 T'sukia, 1 K'jhar, 1 D'aji."

With the newcases, the active cases in the state stand at 2111 while 2654 patients haverecovered. The state reported 9 deaths due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 12 patients have been discharged from the hospital on Thursday after their recovery.
