Assam Rifles gun down 6 NSCN-IM cadres

In a latest update, six NSCN-IM armed cadres have been killed in an encounter while one Assam Rifle personnel has been wounded on Saturday in Arunachal Pradesh.

In the wee hours of today, a joint operation which is underway by the security forces of six Assam Rifles and Arunachal Pradesh police in Longding district, near Nginu village recovered a cache of arms including 6 long-range weapon – a 4 AK 47 2 Chinese MQ and killed six NSCN-IM armed cadres.

Meanwhile, one of the 6 Assam Rifles personnel has been wounded.

The Superintendent of Police OF Longding district and the Commanding Officer of six Assam Rifle is present on spot to assess the situation.
