Huge gatherings were seen outside several schools inthe State this morning, as the Education Department of Assam is all set toconduct the Teachers' Eligibility Test (Primary and Upper Primary) examinationfor the second time in the State. The examination will start from 8:30 AM.

A total of 2,30,482 candidates have applied for LowerPrimary TET examination and 1,66,079 candidates have applied for Upper PrimaryTET examination.

Meanwhile, the Education Department has asked thepolice department to deploy adequate security personnel and ensure friskingarrangements at the entry point of each exam centre and escort party duringtransit of exam materials.

For smooth conduct of the TET examination 2019 theEducation Department has informed that candidates will not be allowed to carryany electronic communication device including mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth,earphones, and tablets.

Moreover, calculators, books, scale or drawinginstruments, bags, and water bottles will also not be allowed inside theexamination hall. There will be no provisions for the safe custody of thesedevices at the exam centres and candidates carrying such devices will be solelyresponsible for their safety.
