Assam To Have Six Flyovers

Assam Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on Mondayannounced that three more flyovers will be constructed at Lokhra, Gorchuk andBasistha Chariali.

Chairing a meeting of State Road Safety Council, Patowary said that along with the three flyovers in Guwahati, additional three flyovers will also be constructed at Nagaon, Bongaigaon and Dibrugarh. He also informed that the projects have been given to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

Patowary further informed that the detailed project report(DPR) is under preparation and will be completed by September. The NHAI willstart the work soon once the DPR would be prepared. It is expected to start thework of flyovers by October, 2019.
