Assamese contesting LS Polls from New Delhi

An Assamese youth is gearing up to contest the Lok Sabha Elections from New Delhi constituency. Arbin Kumar Boruah, the Assamese youth will contest the LS poll from the prestigious constituency as an independent candidate.

Arbin, who hails from Assam's Jorhat, is an international martial artist and a fitness trainer. Notably, he has also contested the Lok Sabha Elections from Jorhat constituency in the first phase on April 11.

Arbin is likely to submit his nomination papers within Tuesday. He will be the first Assamese to contest LS polls from Delhi.

Speaking to media, Arbin said that Right To Recall (RTR) and Citizenship (Amendment) Bill will be his major issue to fight the elections from New Delhi. RTR is a proposed law that would allow citizens to replace public servants holding key posts in the government.
