ATM thief caught red-handed

A 21-year-old man from outsideAssam was caught red-handed by the Garchuk Police at an SBI ATM in Saukuchiarea in Guwahati on Sunday. He was caught while attempting to break open theATM.

According to reports, the man was caught in the wee hours of Sunday after a group of Garchuk police patrol party observed him acting suspiciously inside the ATM. However, his associates have managed to escape the spot before the police team reached the ATM.

The man has been identified as Arif, who hails from the Muhu area in Haryana. Police also recovered masks, pliers and other instruments from his possession.
