Babu apologises over ‘Majuli Gavoru’ song

Followingthe controversy over his latest video song "Majuli Gavoru", Assam singer Babuhas apologised on Tuesday evening.

Speakingto Pratidin Time, the singer said, "I want to apologise to the people ofMajuli. It was unintentional. My sincere apology for the scenes that were shownin the video, which led to the controversy."

Hefurther said that he has removed the song from YouTube. "I have already removedthe song from the YouTube channel," said the singer.

It may be mentioned here that netizens, as well as various organisations, had demanded Babu's unconditional apology after the song depicted Majuli in a negative manner.
