Pratidin Bureau

The repairing work of the bypass in Tinsukia which was affected by flood and the Plastic Park-Kaliapani-Baghjan well which was carried out jointly by OIL and APWD for vehicular movement has been completed.

Another repairing work of Talap-Kordoiguri-Bandarkhati-Baghjan EPS is also in progress and 80 percent of the work has been completed.

It may be mentioned that, the work at Baghjan blowout has been halted after the RCC Bridge at Baghjan was damaged following the massive flood at Doomdooma.

However, civil work for building safe walkways, passages etc in and around the site in water submerged areas and temporary sheds for equipment etc are being carried out continuously as per requirement.

According to an official of OIL, debris removal operation has been resumed after a slight improvement in the weather condition. The official informed that a total of 10 loads of debris have removed on Tuesday from the well plinth to debris laydown.

However, the flood and incessant rain have affected the ongoing work at Baghjan 5 OIL well site.
