Bhanu resigns from Congress

Former IAS officer and Congress candidate for TezpurLok Sabha constituency in the 2019 general election, MGVK Bhanu has resignedfrom the party on Tuesday.

"I have nothing against the Congress party, butresigned due to personal reason," said Bhanu, while speaking to Pratidin Time.

The former additional chief secretary of the Assamgovernment joined Congress on February 11 and unsuccessfully contested the LokSabha election from Tezpur.

Bhanu, a 1985 batch IAS officer originally hails fromAndhra Pradesh.
