Black Box of AN-32 Recovered

The Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR) which are parts of the black box of Indian Air Force (IAF)'s AN-32 aircraft that crashed in Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on June 3 has been recovered on Friday by rescue team at crash site.

However, theprocess of recovering the mortal remains of all air warriors is still at thecrash site and it is due to the bad weather condition that it is affecting therescue team to collect the mortal remains of the 13 crew members who were onboard.

Efforts arebeing made to expeditiously complete the task using all resources of Civil,Army and IAF.

The FDR andCVR are part of the black box that has been recovered from the crash site whichwill help in investigations into the crash. The FDR can store up to 30parameters which include details of engine, speed and other things to assesswhat possibly triggered the crash.

The IAF willassess the damage black box sustained.
