Black Flag waved at Siddhartha Bhattacharya

Members of District Students Union of Hailakandi waved Black flags at Assam Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Monday. In protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the members of the students union and several other organisations waved black flags at the Minister.

The incident took place, when the Minister was on his way to Hailakandi  to inaugurate a government project.

The flag wavers also shouted slogans against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and withdrawal of the bill.

It should be noted that the members of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Friday evening waved black flags at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Guwahati.

The protesters have been waving black flags at the BJP ministers on various occasions and in different part of the State in protest against the Minister's stand on the contentious CAB. Almost all the senior leaders of Assam BJP including CM Sonowal had to face the wrath of public on their way on different occasions.
