Blockade disrupts railway services in Lumding

Pratidin Bureau

The All Assam Bengali Parishad staged rail blockade at Lumding on Friday to protest the NRC authority's alleged bias against people of Bengali ethnicity.

Train services disrupted due to the rail blockade.

By shouting various slogans like 'Prateek Hajela Go back', 'Sarbananda Sonowal Go back' agitators created ruckus in the railway platform.

The agitators alleged that Hajela suddenly dropped 5 out of 15 documents from the list of NRC documents that people can use to file Claims while submitting the NRC Standard Operating Procedures and Modalities for conducting the Claims and Objections process.
