Bolero hits eight vehicles in Jayanagar

A speeding Mahindra Bolero rammed on another and then in a bid to escape, hit eight other parked motorbikes in the city's Jayanagar area here on Friday night.

In the first accident, the vehicle, a Mahindra Balero bearing registration number AS 01 BJ 4849 traveling from the Beltola side hit a Ford Figo near Jayanagar here.

According to eyewitnesses, the car, after hitting tried to escape the spot and in that attempt, hit five other two-wheeler parked near.

Locals have alleged that the drived was under alcohol intoxication.

According to locals, the car belongs to an "influential" person" and hence, police have "taken the driver to safety".

The locals have also alleged of police not arresting the accused and taking bribe.
