Brahmaputra flowing above danger mark in Guwahati

Pratidin Bureau

With rains showing no signs of stopping, the water level ofthe Brahmaputra River is rising with each passing day.

The mighty river which passes through Guwahati is now flowing above the danger mark.

Ferry services between Guwahati and North Guwahati have alreadybeen stopped owing to increasing waters.

Now, the water has entered the Ajan Pir Park located in Fancy Bazaar, flooding the area completely. If the water rises at this extent, there are high chances of Fancy Bazaar being flooded like it did in 2014.

The park has been ordered to remain shut for a period of 10days.
