CAB: Shah to meet state organizations today

The representatives of All Assam Students' Union (AASU), AJYCP, ATASU, ATTSA, Koch-Rajbangshi Sanmilani, AKRSU, Chutia Students' Union, Moran Students' Union and Mottock Students' Union will be participating in the discussions on the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB) with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Tuesday.

The top leaders of the students' organizations told media that they will keep on opposing the move of the Centre to bring in the amended bill in the ongoing Parliament session.

Shah on Saturday held discussions with leaders of politicalparties, students bodies and civil society groups of Assam, Arunachal Pradeshand Meghalaya on the contours of the proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB)and listened to their views.
