CAB will be our key poll issue: Conrad

NPP chief Conrad Sangma on Saturday informed that Citizenship (Amendment) Bill will be the key issue of his party in the coming Lok Sabha Elections. Sangma, while speaking to media at the LGBI airport in Guwahati said that they will continue to oppose the CAB and vowed to keep the issue of CAB as a key election issue in the LS polls.

"Several people including NPP together voiced against the CAB and the bill was lapsed at the Rajya Sabha after our continuous effort. As BJP has already vowed to bring CAB once again, we have to stop them from doing so," said Sangma.

Notably, Sangma had emerged as the Hero after much debated CAB lapsed in Rajya Sabha in February 13. The Meghalaya CM also expressed his hope towards the candidates fielded by his party.
