CAB: Zubeen to observe ‘Sankalpar Din’ on Shilpi Divas

Assam heartthrob Zubeen Garg on Tuesday announced that he would observe 'Sankalpar Din' on the occasion of Shilpi Divas on January 17, 2019 at Tezpur.

The decision was taken in protest against the Narendra Modi led BJP government's move of passing the much-debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha.

Informing the decision Zubeen Garg wrote on his facebook page, "In the name of Assam, let us all unite!!"

On January 13, Zubeen asked Sonowal to return the votes, which BJP has got using the song sung by Zubeen. He had also said, "I am ready to refund the remuneration."

Prior to that Zubeen had penned an open letter to Assam Chief Minister Sonowal to expressed his opposition to the Bill. He had lashed out at Sonowal for supporting the controversial Bill.
