Pratidin Bureau

Controversy is rather a familiar term for singing sensation Zubeen Garg, as comments made during his shows usually land him in one or the other dissension. This time it is his comments made against the Brahmins that has led to a massive outrage. And as such, a case has been registered against the singer in Bhangagarh Police Stattion.

The case has been filed based on the complaint by the 'Bamun Suraksha Mancha'. The organisation has demanded that action be taken against Zubeen as soon as possible.

Clarifyinghis statements, Zubeen said, "This is not what I meant, people are takingit in a different direction. I had no intention of hurting anyone's emotion. Iwill clarify this within a day or two."

However, the Brahmin Samaj is infuriated with the singer. The Udalguri and Darrang Brahmin Samaj have termed him as a 'Xurakontho' (drunk-voice) and also compared him with a demon named 'Kalapahar'. The organisation said, "We have nothing to say on his personal life, but he also does not have the right to speak ill about other communities and people."

TheBrahmin samaj informed the media that cases would be filed in every district againstZubeen soon. However, they are also waiting for his clarifications.
