Citizenship Bill: Artists take out torchlight rally

The protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill continued on Wednesday evening, with artists of the State taking out a torchlight rally in Guwahati.

The rally started from the Pratima Barua Pandey memorial statue located at Chandmari. They sang various songs to protest against the Bill.

Along with the artists, senior journalist, Haider Hussain also took part in the protest rally. Common people of the city spontaneously took part in the rally.

Meanwhile, the KMSS also took out a torchlight rally against the Bill on Wednesday evening. They also informed that they would stage protest with Gamochas in front of the Janata Bhawan on Thursday noon.
