CITY | Flood Water Sweeps Away Cycle Rider

A 13-year-old boy riding bicycle was swept away by flood waters in Sundarpur area of Guwahati city. The cyclist lost control of his two-wheeler and was swept away in the rapid flow of water.

The boy was found dead in the water on a flooded zone this morning in the city. Following this, SDRF personnel were called to a flooded section near Bharalu River in Sundarpur area on Friday moring, where the body was discovered. The boy has been identified as Bikash Das from Krishnagar in Japorigog.

Police teams have been deployed to scan the area where body was found and identify the deceased. Further investigation is going on : police official added.
