CM faces wrath of public

Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal had to face the wrath of public on his way to Ahom Sabha Adhibeshan in Dibrugarh's Chowkidingee.

Protestors who had been protesting against the Centre's decision to implement the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016, had disrupted the movement of the CM's convoy.

It may be noted that 70 organisations had staged a protest against the CM supporting the Centre to implement CAB. Effigies burned and waved black flags were during the protest.

According to reports, police have arrested 40 persons involved in the protests.
