CM Sarbananda Sonowal chairs SLAC meet for Student’s and Youth Welfare

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday chaired a Governing Body meeting of the State Level Advisory Committee (SLAC) for Student's and Youth Welfare at the IGA Stadium in Guwahati.

During the meet, Sonowal discussed various aspects and activities of the SLAC were discussed in the meet with the committee members.

To spread awareness among the people on superstitions and social evils, the SLAC for Students and Youth Welfare will conduct a Central Workshop in Guwahati with youths from each development block of Assam.

Around 5000 youths will be provided skill training during the program.

To help identify potential among the youths, it was also decided that the SLAC would coordinate with district sports federations and prepare a list of talented sportspersons across the State.
