CM Sarbananda Sonowal reviews implementation of various Education schemes

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today reviewed implementation of schemes of Higher Education and Technical Education in Assam at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati.

Various issues regarding the education scenario of the State was discussed in the meet.

During the meeting, CM Sonowal directed officials to introduce women centric courses in the Assam Women's University in line of globally recognized patterns.

Sarbananda Sonowal also urged officials to engage law graduates as legal consultants in all Police Stations. He also directed that the Directorate of Historical & Antiquarian Studies be merged with the Assam State Museum.

CM Sonowal also asked officials to expedite process of appointment of Vice-Chancellors of the Madhavdev, Bhattadev and Rabindranath Tagore Universities.
