CM Sonowal asks youth from Assam to take up farming

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on May 17 urged the youth of the state to take up farming as profession and engage in the agricultural sector for development of self as well as the state.

Speaking at Bohagi Utsav celebration at Margherita, the CM said that agriculture is closely linked with culture.

Addressing media persons, Sonowal said that his government shall work only for the benefit of  the people of the state. He also informed that the government has sent 20 Assamese farmers to Vietnam in a bid to boost the agricultural sector of Assam.

"The state government shall take up steps to construct a guest house at the Margherita Buddhist Temple" he adde.
