CM Sonowal reviews flood situation in Barpeta

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday inspected the Pahumara river embankment at Gahinpara near Pathsala in Barpeta district which was breached due to the ongoing devastating flood situation in the state.

The CM will also visit flood relief camps at South Barpeta. Additionally he will also interact with the Barpeta and Sarthabari police officials and will visit Nalabari later in the day,

Over 34 lakh people have been affected and 238 villages of Barpeta district have inundated in the floodwaters. The state Bharatiya Janata Party president Ranjit Das and State Science and Technology ministry Keshab Mahanta accompanied the Chief Minister.
