CM Sonowal reviews implementation and progress of DAY-NRLM in Dibrugarh

CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday evening chaired meetings in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts to review implementation and progress of the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM).

Present in the meeting with CM Sonowal were Dibrugarh MP Shri Rameswar Teli, MLAs and officials at the Dibrugarh Circuit House.

Among other things, CM Sonowal directed the officials to organise training for women Self Help Groups, which were provided financial assistance under Kanaklata Mahila Sabalikaran Achoni, at block levels to motivate them for developing business skills and make the SHGs profitable.

The CM, who is currently Dibrugarh from Tuesday, is reviewing progress of a number of schemes and projects.

The CM on Friday held a meeting with the heads of various schools and colleges of Dibrugarh and discussed educational scenario of the district.

He urged principals to inculcate human values and ethics among the students.
