CM Sonowal reviews implementation of schemes for Elementary Education in Assam

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday reviewed the implementation of schemes for Elementary Education in Assam at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati.

CM Sonowal directed officials to organize Parents-Teachers Meet every month in all Government schools of the state to effectively monitor the progress of students.

The CM also directed officials to distribute free books and uniforms to school students of tea garden areas so that they continue their education unhindered.

Along with the review of implementation of schemes for Elementary Education, the CM also reviewed implementation of schemes of Higher Education and Technical Education in the State.

During the meeting, CM Sonowal directed officials to introduce women centric courses in the Assam Women's University in line of globally recognized patterns.

The CM also asked officials to expedite process of appointment of Vice-Chancellors of the Madhavdev, Bhattadev and Rabindranath Tagore Universities.
