Communication Comes To A Standstill In Dhubri

After flood waters submerged every single road of the town for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, communication in Dhubri has come to a complete standstill.

The GTB road connecting Gauripur with Dhubri town is also underwater.

With flood-hit people taking shelter along the railway tracks since Tuesday, rail communication has also been disrupted.

The number of inundating villages is growing each day and an alert has been sounded in every 8 blocks of the district after floodwater entered 724 villages, affecting above 10 lakh people.
