Congress Observes 7-Hour Hunger Strike Against CAB

The Assam Congress has observed a seven-hour hunger strike across the state in protest against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (Bill). The protest has been staged in all the block and district level.

The Congress workers have staged a protest by taking a picture of Mahatma Gandhi. They also criticized both the state and the central government and demanded to scrap the bill immediately.

The Hatsingimari Congress workers also staged the hunger strike from 8 am on Friday morning till 3 pm. They said that they will not accept CAB in any condition and that they will continue their protests until the government scrap the bill.

Moreover, APCC President Ripun Bora also staged protest alone in front of the statues of Mahatma Gandhi outside the Parliament premise from 11 am. He boycotted the Parliament in protest against CAB on behalf of the people of Assam.
