Conrad chairs all-party meet on CAB

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday chaired an all-party meeting in Shillong to discuss the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). The meeting was attended by all the major political parties of the State.

They alsodiscussed the Meghalaya Residential Safety and Security and amendment to theSixth schedule act.

Following the meeting, CM Sangma said that Union Home Minister had asked him to convene the meeting to solicit the views of the political parties in Meghalaya on the CAB. Sangma also said that the suggestions of the political parties on CAB would be forwarded to the Union Government.
