In a shocking incident, a couple was physically assaulted in the name of 'Moral Policing' in a public place at Rongjuli Pukhuripara near Nagarbera.

The incident took place opposite of the Pukhuripara Primary school in the area.

The 'Moral Police' goons captured the couple when they on their way on a bike. One of the video footage have revealed that the girl was mercilessly beaten up with a cane by an older man.

The incident took place June 17, but came into light on Thursday (June 21) after the video surfaced.

So far Rongjuli Police has arrested one named Kurban Ali, who is accused of beating up the couple.
